Inclusive Entrepreneur Community
OUR STORY
DELITELABS is an inclusive startup school, offering intensive experiential learning programs and a support system to aspiring entrepreneurs. We do this by involving the business community, governmental institutions, and partner organizations.
We leverage experiential learning experiences, networking, mentoring, and consultation as our main learning tools with the aim to inspire a change of perspective and help our participants to realize their potential. In doing so, startups and new innovations may also result, whilst also contributing towards diversity and inclusion.
OUR WORLD VIEW
The societal challenge of migration integration
With over 70 million (YE 2018) refugees globally, of which 6.5 million are in Europe and a total of 129,000 in The Netherlands at the end of 2018, one complex societal challenge we are facing is migrant integration. This includes (although not limited to) employment, education, social inclusion, and active citizenship in the hosting country.
In the Netherlands, over 70% of the newcomers are dependent on welfare. While governments mostly focus their efforts on employment and language education by default, we believe that unleashing entrepreneurial spirit amongst newcomers is a powerful tool to deepen integration - and a 'must have’ in every integration ecosystem.

Entrepreneurship as a mean and as an end
DELITELABS's entrepreneurial experimental approach builds professional capabilities, and self-confidence and encourages social inclusion through our diverse community base, which empowers newcomers to engage with their new local communities.
Mentorship Program 2022
We are very happy to announce the collaboration with INSEAD International Alumni Association - Dutch Branch - (IAA NL) for running the Mentorship Program in which mentors and mentees get matched to support each other’s professional development.
The overall objective of this collaboration is to help the participants to explore entrepreneurship as a potential route to creating economic independence, as well as building up a local network and getting to know the way of working in The Netherlands.
IAA NL is an active community of alumni of the INSEAD Business School who live in the Netherlands. They will support Delitelabs’ participants and alumni through mentoring sessions in developing their entrepreneurial projects, the first steps in reactivating their careers, and in general, learning first-hand about the host society.

Delitelabs is an Social Enterprise
This means that making an impact is always our priority, while we also aim to build out a healthy and sustainable Business model. We ensure that there is a fair distribution of remuneration between the highest and lowest salaries within the organization, and invest potential profits back into the organization.
To ensure this, there is an independent foundation board that monitors the management of Delitelabs on it’s social mission and implementation. That advisory body is the 'Stichting Delitelabs'. Stichting Delitelabs is the priority shareholder of 'Delitelabs BV', which carries out all activities. The board of the Stichting Delitelabs consists of Patrick Alders (chairman), Suzanne Meyer (treasurer), and Ilham Atus (secretary). Stichting Delitelabs has an important and independent voice, especially when it comes to decisions that affect the social mission of the company. The members of the board do not receive any compensation for their work.
Stichting Delitelabs holds an ANBI Status
Stichting Delitelabs is recognized by the Tax Authorities as an ANBI (Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling), which means that donations are tax deductible. For a donation to be tax deductible, the amount must be between 1% and 10% of a net annual income, or it must be a recurring donation. From January 1, 2014, a monthly donation to an ANBI organization is 100% tax deductible, provided you agree with Delitelabs to continue this donation for five consecutive years. In contrast to previous regulations, a notary is no longer required to record such an agreement. Are you interested or have questions? Please contact us. As ANBI we are obliged to present our policy and plans on this website. You can read more about it and in our annual reports.
